To disable in-app purchases and avoid unauthorized purchases on your iDevice use the following steps: 1) From your home screen, tap the Settings app 2) Tap General 3) Scroll about halfway down the page and tap Restrictions 4) Tap Enable Restrictions 5) When you do this, you'll be asked to Set a Passcode. The Passcode is a password that locks certain functions of the iOS device. Use a passcode you'll be sure to remember, but don't share it with people you don't want making in-app purchases. If they know your passcode, they can enable in-app purchases even if you don't want them to. Enter the passcode twice to set it. 6) Once the passcode is set, scroll down to the Allowed Content section. Slide the In-App Purchases slider to Off (in iOS 6) or to the left so that it's white (iOS 7). This will prevent anyone who doesn't know your passcode from making in-app purchases.
As with most downloadable software products, gems bought in the Clash of Clans in-game shop are non-refundable. Unfortunately we cannot undo or change a purchase that has already been made, and we cannot consider refund requests. To avoid any unintentional or unauthorised purchases in the future, please make sure that: 1) Your Google account password is safe and secure 2) You have restricted in-app purchases by opening the Google Play app, going to ‘Settings’ and checking the ‘Password’ box 3) If someone else is using your device, please consider making a separate User profile for them by going to Settings > Users > Add user, then follow the on-screen instructions

If your device doesn't have 3G, please try to use another WiFi hotspot and see if it works. Some WiFi hotspots have very strict firewall settings on, which causes problems with games and apps which need the internet in order to work. If your game is still crashing or not loading, please contact our support team via the in-game Report An Issue button or email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please try the following: 1) Make sure your copy of Clash of Clans for Android was downloaded from the Google Play Store, otherwise we cannot guarantee that your game will work as it's supposed to. 2) Free up device memory by closing unnecessary apps running in the background. To do this, go to Settings > Apps > Running, the tap the app you want to stop and press 'Stop' or 'Force Stop'. 3) Free up storage memory on your device by uninstalling apps that you no longer need. You can do this by opening the Launcher (Android's app view), then press and hold the app(s) you want to delete. 3) Make sure your Android version is up to date by going to Settings > About, and then checking for software updates. Also, please note that Clash of Clans requires **at least** the following specs: - 0.5 GB of RAM (1GB or more recommended) - Android OS 4.0.3 or better - A screen resolution of 800x480 If your game is still crashing or not loading, please contact our support team via the in-game Report An Issue button or email at email@example.com
On some devices, the operating system doesn't inform you if you have run out of space. Please check that you have enough space on your device to install Clash of Clans. The size of the game file is around 60 MB so you need at least that or more. If you have less, you need to delete some other applications and/or unused music and photos before installing Clash of Clans.
If you can’t install the game, make sure you have downloaded Clash of Clans from the Google Play Store! If you have downloaded Clash from another source, it may not work and could potentially be unsafe! Here are a few more tips: Even if the size of the game is listed as 50MB, you will need some additional space to complete the installation process. If you need to free up space, uninstall some apps or delete some pictures and videos that you no longer need. Check that your Android version is official, and that is up to date by going to Settings > About, and then checking for software updates. Also, please note that Clash of Clans on Android requires some minimum specs: 1) 0.5 GB of RAM (1GB or more recommended) 2) Android OS 4.0.3 or better 3) A screen resolution of 800x480

To connect your village to Google+, open the Google+ app on your device and make sure you are logged in. After this, open Clash of Clans and go to the in-game setting. Press the Google+ sign in button to connect your village to Google+. If you would like to know anything else about using Clash of Clans with Google+, please do not hesitate to ask. The Shield prevents other people from attacking your village while it is active. You lose the shield when the timer runs out, or when you attack another player. When your village is destroyed by an enemy attack, you automatically get a new shield for 12 hours. You can also purchase longer lasting shields from the shop.
If you do not have an active shield and you exit the game, your village is vulnerable to attacks from other players. The attacking player will be able to steal some of your resources, but never all of them. You can protect your village with defensive buildings, walls and traps, or by buying a new shield from the shop. Terrain obstacles, debris and decorations do not stop attacking units!
In order to join a clan, you must first rebuild the Clan Castle. Once it's rebuilt, you can tap it and choose to join or create a clan. The Clan Castle can also house reinforcement troops from your clan-mates, which can assist in both attack and defense!
You can invite your Game Center and Facebook friends to join your clan or invite people from global chat. In order to invite your Facebook or Game Center friends, your friend must also play Clash of Clans, be connected to Facebook or Game Center on Clash, and have rebuilt their Clan Castle. Once they do you can see your friend in the Friends menu, where you can tap their name and choose Invite from the context menu. Inviting from global chat works in a similar way: tap a player's message, and choose Invite from the context menu. Inviting Google+ friends isn’t possible yet, but the development team is working on the feature, and we hope to release it soon :)
At the moment it's not possible to restart your game. However, you can start a new game on any device that doesn't have a previous game of Clash of Clans on it.
Once deployed on the battlefield, your troops are autonomous and cannot be controlled. Each time you deploy a unit, a crosshair will highlight the unit's first target. Different units will attack according to their capabilities and preferred targets. To optimize your attack strategies learn about how each unit works on the Barrack's Troop Training screen. Check defensive turrets' info as well to learn which units they target.
After combat, all troops still on the battlefield turn back into Elixir and soak into the earth. Expending troops to win battles is a key piece in the Clash of Clans strategy. Think of your troops as resources to be spent wisely. Plan every battle carefully and try to use the right number and right type of troops. Throwing all your troops into combat without considering the cost versus benefit can lead to a Pyrrhic victory, where you end up spending more resources than you gained.
Make sure that your device is set to allow in-app purchases. Go to Settings - General - Restrictions and check that In-App Purchases is set to ON. Then quit and restart the game. Please perform the following steps. Devices running iOS4.x, iOS5.x or iOS6.x: 1. Double tap on the home-button so that a row of icons (open apps) appear at the bottom 2. Tap and hold any of the icons until they all start to wiggle and get a red dot with a white stripe in the upper left corner 3. Tap on all red dots on all icons to quit the apps running in the background (including Clash of Clans) 4. Double tap on your home-button again 5. Reboot your device 6. Launch Clash of Clans and try again Devices running iOS7.x: 1. Double tap the home-button on your device 2. Swipe all application previews upwards until there is none left 3. Reboot your device 4. Launch Clash of Clans and try again. If you’re still unable to buy gems, please contact our support team via the in-game Report An Issue button or email at firstname.lastname@example.org

While most of the transactions go smoothly, sometimes the response from Apple or our servers might be slower than usual or experience an error. Please wait and see if the purchased gems come through. If they don't, try restarting the game. Your gems should be credited to you. You may also want to try disabling and then enabling in-app purchases. You may also need to update your iOS version. If all else fails, please contact our customer support via the In-App reporting form and they'll get back to you as soon as possible!
Clan Score is calculated using a formula that takes weighted scores from all clan members, not the sum of all members' scores. The Clan Score is designed allow the most competitive and fair clan ranking possible.
Clash of Clans supports only one account per device. Playing multiple games on a single device is the best way to permanently lose all your villages. Our support team won’t be able to help if your game states get mixed up and are lost from attempting to play multiple games on one device.
You can play one game on multiple devices, but be sure to login to Game Center / Google+ with the same account on each device. Logging into Game Center links your village to that Game Center account, and allows you to load your game on any iOS device. Logging into Google+ links your village to that Google+ account, and allows you to load your game on any Android device.
Yes you can, but it requires the use of GameCenter. The only way to transfer your account to a new device is to have the original village linked to a Game Center account. Login to that Game Center account on your new device and you will prompted to load your previous village. Say yes! This post has some helpful instructions on setting up your game on a new device: http://bit.ly/WXA1Jh
To enjoy sharp text and beautiful graphics, we recommend playing Clash of Clans on an iPhone 4/4S, iPod Touch 4th generation or any iPad. The game also works on older devices, but the gaming experience might not be optimal.
Sorry, you can't change the name of your village. If you did, your villagers wouldn't know where they live!
Unfortunately we can't return lost trophies under any circumstances. They are instantly transferred to the other player and as there a set amount of trophies available in the game, we cannot provide you with the trophies that were lost.
When fighting against other players, you will gain or lose trophies depending on the outcome of the battle. You can also lose or gain points when you're attacked, depending on if your defenders win the battle. The exact number of points you can gain or lose is calculated based on how likely you are to win the match based both of your and your enemy's trophy points. Winning against the odds will give you more points than winning an easy opponent.
Player vs. player matchmaking is based solely on the amount of trophies. Because of this it is possible to be attacked by a player with a much higher or lower level, as long as they have a similar trophy level to yours.
You can upgrade your buildings by tapping on them and choosing the "Upgrade" option. Upgrading your Town Hall unlocks new buildings and allows you to upgrade your existing buildings even further! Buildings will not work while they are being upgraded. This means that Mines and Elixir Pumps won't generate resources and Cannons and Towers won't shoot enemies while being upgraded.
The best place to post suggestions on how we can improve your Clash of Clans experience is over at our forums. Check them out here: http://bit.ly/ClashOfClansForums
This is one of the few common users suggestions that have been ruled out by the team. Donating resources would open the door for exploits. Multiple accounts, friends or even "gold farmers" could be used to feed one account with endless amounts of resources, which would be unfair to other players.
Maintenance breaks usually mean we need to update servers, address a minor bug, support new content or improve the general quality of gameplay! Maintenance breaks are a pretty regular thing for server-based games like Clash of Clans and generally last 15 minutes to 4 hours! We always will post on Twitter, Facebook and our Forums with as much advance notice as possible!
Unfortunately, if your village was not linked to Game Center / Google+ then there is no way to recover your lost game. If you did have your game linked to Game Center / Google+, then simply log in to your old account and open up Clash of Clans. It should prompt you to restore your old village. Simply say yes!
If you can access the game, it is strongly suggested that you use the in-game feature "Send Feedback" to contact our support. If you do so, please do not edit the subject-line as it contains your player ID. If you cannot enter the game, please email our support directly and provide them with your Game Center name and/or Facebook profile link, in-game name and also which clan you belong to (if you belong to one). You can contact support at: email@example.com (Android only) or firstname.lastname@example.org
